I know, Not Yet! But Soon
To start saying "Welcome Back" in the middle of July is almost as bad as the stores that put out the fleece jackets before I get my annual watchband tan line. But that time will come soon enough. I know, terrible but so is life. So I won't say it just yet. I'll give it until next month and then will start a countdown to our first issue launch party of the year.

Anyways, in anticipation of the new arrival of freshman, the hailing of all your collegiate peers back from the far corners of who-knows-where, and the realization that for some this is your last year in college (unless of course you take my approach and avoid that completely). RezLife has been hard at work to bring you a crisp new issue come September 1st. It will be larger than ever; overflowing with fashion, entertainment and unique guides.

Yes, another guide … but I promise it's not like most that just list the same old places in Cleveland Circle and Fenway. That's not the RezLife style. I wouldn't read that. Instead we sought out to find the trend setters, both currently in college and a few years out, to list where one really wants to go. So whether new to Boston or just looking to change the same old routine look no further.

But until then, here are some pretty pictures from the upcoming issue to look at. And yes, I did just say pretty.

Rez(life) and the Nike Lobster
For those of you who don't know me personally, let's just say that I am far less Nike kicks and far more Sperry boat shoe … so as President of Rez(life) Magazine why would I devote time to cover a sneaker release? Simple, because it's never been about me or my personal style … It's about style on a whole, the latest trends, being so far ahead of the curve that your path is the curve and getting EXCLUSIVES that no one else has.

Case in point, Concepts new Nike SB Dunk Lows, aka Lobsters. These sneakers are so in demand that they are being kept locked away until they hit the world at the Concepts Store in Cambridge on May 31st. Sure, some stockroom photos and marketing material has been released but only Rez(life) Magazine was able to arrange an official pre-release photo shoot with them at Neptune Oyster in Boston's North End.

I wanted to wait until the next Summer / Orientation issue to arrive in mid-June to publish, but these photos were too fresh to keep hidden until then. So enjoy with some melted butter smeared on a love one and check back when the Summer Issue arrives for more exclusive content and sneaker release coverage.

Upclose (and almost personal)

If you ask anyone to define when spring hits at BC the first thought that usually comes to mind isn't flowers or buds on the trees, but skirts and shorts in the dustbowl. And with that the thought of summer and getting out of Chestnut Hill.

In honor of that feeling, I decided to include some of my photos (yes I still do that too) of Marisa Miller during her appearance at the Victoria's Secret store at the Natick Collection to celebrate the launch of their new swimwear. For those of you who don't recognize her name, Marisa was on the cover of SI's Swimsuite Issue this past winter and graces the most recent VS catalog. And as I read on the waistband of one reveling piece of lingerie, she is "Sexy Sexy". But you don't need me to tell you that, just check out the photos.

Back like NKOTB

Seeing that Rez(life) Magazine is back (like New Kids on the Block) after April's Timeless Grandeur Issue hit campus last week, I figure it only makes sense to start blogging again. Right now everything is bananas as we expand the brand in all directions. In the weeks to come RezLife is overhauling the website once again to include daily coverage on everything from what our concerts reviews to fashion to entrepreneurship.

But it's not fair for us the take all the credit. The wheels on this project would never have started rolling if we didn't partner with CollegeMogul.com and Boston radio stations, Kiss 108 and JAMN. So check them out and we'll keep you posted.

Cover Boy
You've spotted this kid in a nightclub, mostly because he really looks like a kid. Little guy, barely breaks a buck-and-a-quarter in weight. Has an endearing stutter. Seems so young you're thinking, toll booth collectors card this guy - how'd he get in here? The boat shoes, baggy jeans and rumpled blue oxford shirts that he wears every single day of his God-given life don't exactly add years, either ...

Check out Boldfacers.com's new profile about Founder and President of Rez(life) Magazine, Marc Andrew Deley. It takes a look at his work as a professional photographer and entrepreneur.

There are rock bands to manage, a clothing line to market, photographs and more photographs to shoot and, oh yeah, a first-of-its-kind magazine to launch. Rez(life), a glossy 144-page publication covering entertainment, culture and fashion for Boston College students, is due to hit the shelves next week. By next fall, Marc hopes to roll out similar publications customized for another dozen or so colleges. So, right, that unassuming kid you see in the crowd? Buy him a drink (he's legal now). 'Cause this kid's going to own all of us some day. Get the picture?

April Cover Shoot

Who needs a bunch of verbiage to describe yesterday's April cover shoot? I sure don't, but I do feel inclined to say a few things :: The images are nothing less then fabulous. (Remember we are talking high fashion here, so emphasize the way you say fabulous).

Before a few of the behind the scene pics steal your attention (click on one to enlarge and see the whole gallery), I just have to say thanks to the student models, Kial and Yasmin, as well as photographer Eric Levin, stylist Erica Corsano and Salon Maksou for hair and makeup.

Enjoy ::

As 1950's TV Star the Beaver Would Say, Gee Wiz Wally.
I can't believe its already been a month since the Preview Issue of Rez(life) Magazine came out in December. In case you missed the hard copies circulating; there is a full version online. Take a look and let us know what you think - the good, the bad, the hot, the ugly - we want to hear it all.

But I digress on the old. It's all about what's new. We just got done planning the photo shoot for the February Issue. Now, I don't want to say too much but it involves a new group of co-eds in the latest lux fashion from Neiman Marcus.

It's taking place today at an unbelievable location in Brookline and we'll have tons of exclusive behind the scene pics for everyone right after.

So until then :: live well :: live crazy
